This was a very busy week.  Two cabins went on their camping trips. The Herons left on Monday putting their canoes in at Crescent Lake, paddling through the Tenney River into Panther Pond , and spending  the night on Hawthorne Point.  The next morning, after a delicious breakfast, they loaded up their canoes and headed back to camp. The Crogles made the same trip on Thursday returning to camp Friday morning.  The trip pictures can be seen  here.

Tuesday night, relatives from both Big and Little Wohelo came to Timanous for dinner.  You can see the picture here.

Wednesday morning, everyone helped to build the bonfire. Pictures and more information can be found here.  Unfortunately, we were not able to burn the bonfire that night as we had hoped as the fire danger was too high.  We are keeping our fingers crossed that the conditions will be right for this  weekend.  Wednesday afternoon was an exciting game of Granddaddy Gorilla which is a giant game of hide and seek with the counselors hiding and the campers searching.  Different counselors are worth different points and the cabins with the most points, wins.

Friday afternoon, we were going to play our second game of Capture the Flag but just as the bell rang to signal the start of the game, the heavens opened up with rain, thunder & lightening so the game had to be postponed.  Luckily, it cleared so that that evening, the entire upper bunk line was able to go to Big Wohelo for dinner followed by a dance.  The pictures from that can be seen  here .

Saturday morning, we hosted the Timanous Relays, 4 other camps came to compete.  Timanous boys won did very well, winning 11 of the events and setting a new record for the Final Relay.  Saturday evening, we had a variety show in the hall which was enjoyed by all!

In addition we had 10 & under, 12 & under, and 15 & under soccer matches and baseball games and a 12 & under basketball game.

The weather this week has been cooler than normal.  The first half of the week was sunny but cool and the second half brought a lot of rain and unsettled weather and  hopefully enough so we can light the bonfire this weekend.
