Special activities this week included the "Building of the Bonfire" on Wednesday morning proceeded and followed by swims. The boys worked hard and the finished product was a huge 15 ft pile of brush and wood which we were able to burn on Thursday evening, July 4th. Thursday night, the weather changed and by Friday, we were back to typical Maine summer weather. Friday morning, we played the much awaited first game of Capture the Flag which had had to be postponed due to the heat. The entire camp is divided between the Green and the Gray teams and everyone plays. It is a lot of fun! We had our Friday trips with canoeing, kayaking and sailing on Panther Pond, a hike up Rattlesnake Mountain, and several competitions with other camps including a 15 & under soccer game, 15 & under tennis and 12 & under tennis matches. Saturday morning was our Timanous Relays which is an annual event with 5 other camps coming to compete in a fun all relay swim meet. On Sunday, some boys went to Wohelo to sail and play tennis and we had our first "Sunday Soccer" with Wohelo. It was a great week!
This week coming up, we have 5 camping trips going out!!
P.S. I updated the cabin pictures to include the few missing
boys.
