It is very hard to believe everyone will be headed home in just a few days!  This last week just flew by.  With the camping trips complete,  it was great to have everyone in camp this week.  Many campers were busily trying to complete requirements for awards they were working on as time is running out. We had lots of sun and on 2 days, the highs reached into the 90s!!   On Wednesday, the entire camp went to Scarboro Beach for the day.  The ocean water was very warm for Maine and everyone had a great day - it was a perfect Beach Day.  That evening, we had the second Timanous Tonight which was again a big hit.  Thursday night, it was too hot to watch a movie in the hall so we had our first outside move.  During the intermission. the campers were able to cool off by running through the sprinklers.  Friday morning, we played Junior Granddaddy Gorilla.  7 campers were able to escape being found.  Friday evening, the  Big Wohelo girls came to Timanous for the second dance of the summer.  Friday was the hottest day of the summer so you can imagine how warm it was in the barn during the dance!  Saturday evening after the final cabin cookouts, everyone went to the hall for Horseraces -- the counselors are the horses -- each comes up with their own name and/or theme and dresses for the part.

There was a tennis tournament on Monday & Tuesday, a sailing regatta and a 12 & under soccer match.

It is pouring rain right now so hopefully we will see the sun for the last few days.  Remember to let us know if you are planning on having your son's trunk shipped.  We look forward to seeing many of you on Wednesday.  Watersports will start at 10 a.m. and our Banquet will start at 5:30.  Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
