Week Seven

(Please be patient, there are lots of pictures this week)

This completes the last full week of camp and it was busy!  Monday morning started out with Capture the Flag which we played again on Saturday afternoon. After many games, the Greens and Grays are tied. The deciding game will be played on Monday or Tuesday.  There was also a tennis tournament at Agawam and a 10 & under Kickball game on Monday.  Wednesday morning, after breakfast, the whole camp left for Scarboro Beach, returning late that afternoon. It was a perfect Beach Day and everyone seemed to have a good time. Nurse Heidi was kept busy making sure everyone had enough sunscreen!!  The campers had a chance to hid Friday morning when we played Junior Granddaddy Gorilla.  21 campers escaped being found by the counselors - they had some great hiding spots but I won't tell as they can be used again next year!  Friday afternoon, the Mallards headed out to Crows' Point for their camping trip, returning after breakfast on Saturday.  As I mentioned before, Saturday afternoon, we played Capture the Flag.  The Mallards joined the Crows for their Saturday night cookout and had a chance to try the Crows' slide!  Saturday evening was "Horse Races" with the counselors being the horses. It is an annual event and always a favorite. Ask your sons to explain.

There was also a trip to Pleasant Mountain, an overnight to our "Outpost", a 15 & under Basketball game, 12 & under soccer game, and a sailing regatta at Wyonagonic. In addition the boys were busy finishing shop projects and completing requirements for awards.  It is hard to believe that camp will be over in just a few days!!

Beach Day 2002
Castle Building
It was a perfect Beach Day-  it was a hot and sunny day, the water was warm for Maine and the waves were great!  There was lots of time for swimming, playing cards, building sand castles, playing ball and just relaxing.
