Tuesday night, campers with relatives at Little Wohelo visited the girls camp for dinner and evening activities. Relatives from Big Wohelo came to Timanous on Wednesday night. Thursday night, Danny the Barber came to camp. Danny has been cutting hair at Timanous for 19 years! On Friday, a group of sailors attended the O-AT-KA regatta and Timanous came in 3rd! We also had our second Capture the Flag game that afternoon -- lots of action but still no one got the flag. Friday night, the upper 5 cabins, Falcons, Loons, Ravens, Cardinal, and Crows went to Big Wohelo for a dance. Saturday morning, we had a dual swim meet with Agawam and Sunday morning, we all went to Big Wohelo for Hiiteni Sunday, an annual event to celebrate the founders of Timanous and Wohelo.
This was all in addition to regular activities! The weather has been perfect with most days dry, warm and sunny. Unlike the week before in which we had record highs, we had a record low of 49 degrees one morning! I'm not sure how many boys took dips that morning!
It's hard to believe that we have reached the half way point. We are
sorry to see the boys leave that were only with us for the first 3 1/2
weeks but we are looking forward to the new boys arriving.
