We lucked out once again. The day was beautiful. It was very busy on the waterfront. The lower bunkline had relay races for fun during instructional swim and I could hear the cheering from my office. The wind was great and the sailboats were flying across the lake. Beginner waterskiing was popular in the morning and several boys got up on skis for the first time. There was an away 15 & under basket ball game and a home 10 & under baseball game. It should have been a great day for the group climbing Katahdin.
We were having our regular Wednesday night “Jimmy Buffet” when the skies darkened but everyone got to the hall where they had dessert and settled in for an evening movie before the skies opened. It rained and at times very hard for most of the movie with some thunder and lightening but it was just occasional sprinkles when the movie let out. Once everyone was in bed, the rain started again which is perfect timing as the sound of rain on the roof of the cabins is perfect for sleeping.
